Tottenham vs West Ham prediction: How will Premier League fixture play out tonight?

Tottenham and West Ham do battle on Tuesday in a London derby that has a lot riding on it for both clubs for at either end of the Premier League table. West Ham continue their battle to avoid relegation at Tottenham in the first of two London derbies for them this week.

The hosts are looking to end a four-match winless streak that included being held to a draw against Manchester United in their return to top-flight action. Spurs are eighth with 42 points and are now nine points behind fourth-placed Chelsea in the race for the last Champions League place.

West Ham need to start picking up results. Their loss at home to Wolves, their fourth defeat in five league outings. The Hammers have suffered four defeats in five outings, leaving David Moyes’s team desperately needing to get more points on the board if they are to avoid a relegation scrap.

Tottenham have been struggling to win matches with two defeats and two draws in their last four in the league and no wins in seven in all competitions.

The Hammers have won once in their last 10 league games, conceding 22 goals, and they have not kept a clean sheet since a 4-0 win against Bournemouth on 1 January.

Tottenham are now nine points behind fourth-placed Chelsea after a fourth game without a win. There have been 22 goals scored in Tottenham’s last seven league encounters, with six of them seeing both teams score.

West Ham remain out of the bottom three on goal difference after a fourth defeat in five games. The Hammers have won just one of their previous 10 league games, losing seven times, and have only scored 10 times during that period.

Both teams will have high expectations when it comes to gaining maximum points on Tuesday evening. However, while we feel that the Hammers will push their city neighbours close, we think that Spurs will rally during the closing stages to earn a morale-boosting win.
