Man City vs Norwich: prediction, team news & odds

It’s the Premier League’s top-scoring team Manchester City against lowest-scoring Norwich City on the final day of the season.

Pep Guardiola’s team are looking to score 100 goals in the league for the third time, while Kevin De Bruyne is chasing Thierry Henry’s assist record of 20.

Two sides separated by a whopping 57 points in the Premier League table will lock horns on the final day as Manchester City welcome Norwich City to the Etihad Stadium.

Both sides go into the game with nothing but pride to play for, with Man City’s second-placed finish and Norwich’s relegation already confirmed ahead of Sunday’s clash.

Reason for Manchester City vs. Norwich predictions:

  • Man City scored 19 goals in five Premier League home fixtures since the restart.
  • Norwich lost nine of their last 11 away assignments.
  • Norwich failed to score in 11 of their last 13 Premier League games.
  • Raheem Sterling notched six goals in his last four league starts.

Manchester City and Norwich have played each other 69 times, with City winning just over half.

Norwich famously beat Man City 3-2 in the reverse league fixture between the clubs in September last year.

City, who have already recorded three 5-0 wins since the resumption of play last month, will be going for the jugular in their quest to push past the 100 goals mark, and a Norwich team, that failed to score in 11 of their last 13 league contests overall should offer little resistance.

Norwich won the reverse fixture earlier in the season and beat City on the final day of the season in 2013.

Norwich will endeavour to keep the scoreline as low as possible, but with Farke having to contend with a severely depleted side, Man City’s attacking stars will be expected to run riot on the final day.

Man City -2.5 (Alternative Asian Handicap) @ 1.6
