Dinamo Minsk vs. Slutsk – prediction and head-to-head record

Dinamo Minsk host Belarusian Premier League leaders Slutsk at Dinamo Stadium on Saturday. The hosts should have plenty of confidence under new boss Leonid Kuchuk with a high scoring match expected.

Dinamo are seven-time winners of the Belarusian Premier League, last lifting the title in 2004. They have also been runners-up on seven occasions since then but have finished third and fourth in their last two campaigns.

Dinamo actually lost 10 times in the league last season, and there is no question that their supporters will be expecting an improvement this time around.

The Minsk giants have lost three of their last six home league matches, though, and face a tough task this weekend against the current division leaders.

FC Slutsk have seen both teams score in five of their six Belarus Premier League games this season.

Slutsk, as mentioned, are at the top of the table after six matches, having picked up 13 points courtesy of four victories and a draw, suffering just one defeat during an impressive start.

They are also the leading goalscorers in the league this season with 12, but it would be some story if they managed to challenge high up the division come the end of the campaign.

Dinamo have won 10 of the last 15 matches between the two sides – including a 2-1 success last time out where experienced attacker Danilo grabbed a brace – suffering just two defeats in the process.

The Minsk giants have also scored 23 goals to Slutsk’s seven, that said, both of Slutsk’s victories have come in their last three meetings, including a 2-1 league success in May 2019.

Dinamo Minsk have only failed to score twice this term, but have only kept two clean sheets at the other end.

The home side has won this fixture in six of the last seven meetings.

Both league meetings between Dinamo Minsk and Slutsk last season ended 2-1 to the home side.

Dinamo Minsk have a 10-2 advantage against Slutsk with three draws in 15 encounters. Dinamo Minsk won this fixture 2-1 last season with Danilo bagging a brace.

Dinamo Minsk have won four of their last five home matches against Slutsk and are priced at 1.60 to win. Slutsk are listed at 4.50 with a draw available at 3.75.

Slutsk have seen over 2.5 goals in their last three away matches and six of their last eight matches in the Belarusian Premier League. Over 2.5 goals is my best bet at 1.95.

Dinamo Minsk have won by 2+ goals in three of their last four Belarusian Premier League matches and can be backed at 3.00 in the -1 handicap market.

Dinamo Minsk can be expected to see more positive form under new manager Leonid Kuchuk. Slutsk’s defence leaves a lot to be desired and it seems a matter of time before it comes back to bite them.

Over 2.5 (Goal Line) @ 1.98
