Roma vs. Milan: Prediction and team news

Roma vs. Milan

Roma vs. Milan

Tonight Roma is going head to head with Milan for the first time in the new season, in the Italian capital at Stadio Olimpico.

Currently, Roma ranks 4th, while the visitors are unbeaten in their opening 10 matches, and hold 2nd position, and are competing with Napoli for the top position in the league.

Milan doesn’t look good in the Champions League, but is rising in the Italian league, and looks like the team no longer seems completely dependent on Zlatan Ibrahimovic.  The 40-year-old Zlatan’s dodgy knees and tendons have restricted him to just four appearances in Serie A, although he has scored twice.

From the Rossoneri’s team, the left-back Hernandez and Brahim Diaz are out with coronavirus, while defender Florenzi is out with a knee injury. Maignan is still in recovery after the wrist surgery. On the other side, Smalling remains sidelined with a thigh injury and Spinazzola will miss with an Achilles injury.

In 31 head-to-head matches between these two sides, Roma holds the advantage. They have won 12 games, lost eight, and drawn 11, and come into this game on the back of a 2-1 win over Cagliari in the league.

Still, in this derby on the 11th round of the 2021-22 Serie A season, there are no surprises that Milan is the slight favorite.

We are backing the visitors to avoid defeat once again tonight.

Our bold prediction: -0.5 Asian Handicap on AC Milan @ 3.05.
